After the cooperation on the last edition of Jarun cup, the company Internet prijenosi, with their brand Maxisport.tv decided to cover us with the high definition livestream signal this year also. Jarun cup 2015 will be broadcasted also and we hope that high quality streaming will become part of the each EBT tournament. Those were words by Matko Vutmej, technical director of the Jarun cup. Please, tell us few words about yourself, especially the story have you got involved to the (beach) handball activities

Anna: So much to talk about so lets focus maybe on „handball“ subject ;) I guess I was around 8 years old when decided to play handball – too lazy to run I became a goalkeeper ☺continued that until my last year at uni. In high school got an idea about becoming also a referee – turned out pretty well as I am still happy to do that.

Representative persons of night club Pepermint and Organizational board of Jarun cup arranged all details concerning the official players party. On the meeting it was arranged that the players party will be held on Saturday evening (2./3.5.2015.)from 24:00 in Pepermint night club (Ilica 24).The free entrance, as well as welcome drink and promotional prices of drinks are ensured for all tournament participants. The cooperation between the AWT international company and the Organizational board of the Jarun cup is arranged for this year also. Similar like previous years, AWT international decided to take part with their brand name Naturel, which are the best products for all those who care about healthy food and life style. The Naturel brand will be presented also through the Naturel's hostess, which will be on Jarun on the final day.

The ball in your hands, the sand below your feet, the Sun above us- the felling is fantastic. Could it be better?Of course it can, with support of the Henkel crew which enabled us to reward the players of the Jarun cup beach handball tournament in men and women competition. Since now each game will be pure freshness. Fa- the sense of the pure freshness.

Representative persons of the EBT tounrament Jarun cup Organizing commitee and the Center for the physical therapy Vertebra settled an agreement according to which all players will have expert and professional medicine help during the tournament.

Agrrement was arranged with the director of the Center, Mrs Patricija Šimić, which is known (beside her work in the Vertebra studio) as the organizer of the Symposium "Children in sport". Also, it should be mentioned that Mrs Patricija is the official physioterapeutist of the youth handball national  selection. We use this opportunity to thank to Mrs Šimić and we hope that this is only beginning of the long-term cooperation.

Please tell us something about your club history. When did you start with the beach handball and what are your main goles, successes, main opposite teams etc.?

«Hy everybody handball friends, about our club history my coach Antonio Viola told already everythings and I can confirm that he is one of the greatest promoter of this fantastic sport. I started to play beach handball in 2000 but my first and unforgettable experience was in Graz in Austria at Olympic children games, was a fantastic team and with good satisfactions because we arrived at seventh position and we beated 2-0 good teams as Spain and Austria "B", and lost other match just at shoot-out against Poland, Switzerland, Austria "A'' and Czech Republic.

Gaeta handball 84 confirmed the participation on Jarun cup 2015
Beach handball club „Gaeta handball 84“ will start their new beach handball season with Jarun cup 2015 tournament. We are very proud on that information and we use this opportunity to speak with the main persons of this club, Mr. Antonio Viola and Mr. Antonio D'Ovidio (will be published soon).

  Interview with Mr Viola:
I assume that readers of our website mainly know a lot about beach handball history. So, I predict that they know that BH was firstly introduced in Italy and that you were a part of the „first developing team“. Could you please go back to the history and told us exactly what happened and how did you start to develop the beach handball idea? Which persons participated from the first steps?

In the series of the articles about the official persons that will be part of our Summer story, on Jarun cup 2015, we bring the interview with the famous Hungarian beach handball couple, Mr Palkovits and Mr. Szilvasi.

Please, introduce yourself (main information).  How long are you involved to the (beach)handball activities?

Gabor: Handball and beachhandball were always part of my life, considered as my second „job“. I started playing handball in '99 and when beachhandball was introduced in my country, I fell in love immediately. Besides playing I started to be a referee in 2003 and I joined beachhandball as an official in 2008. From the very beginning I go from tournaments to tournaments with David. In private I work as an HR Director for a multinational company called Xerox.

David: In 2000 I started as an indoor referee and since 2005 I'm actively involved in all beachhandball activities. From 2008 with Gábor we participated numerous domestic and international tournaments, visiting many interesting places in Europe. Regarding the number of matches we whistled, it is hard to count but it should be close to 1000. Apart from handball in everyday's life I'm working for Vodafone as a Billing Manager.

What are your greatest achievments so far? Where did you whistle so far and describe us shortly the best game you were part of. Is there any match you wish that you didn't whistle maybe ;) ?

Beach handball club Zagreb, the organizer of the first European beach handball tournament Jarun cup 2015, is proud to present the official persons which confirmed their participation. Although this will be the eighth edition of the tournament, this will be the first which will count for the EBT tour. At this moment the tournament Organizational board confirmed the participation of six EBT referees and three delegates. All names on the list have a lot of expierence collected on the biggest beach handball events.

Partly because of that (and other filled conditiones) the tournament has 118 (+19) organizational points at this moment.

Jarun Cup 2015 is the eighth edition of the beach handball tournament organized by Academic beach handball club Zagreb.Given the fact that each year was organizationally better that the previous one, the Organizational board decided to register the tournament as a part of the European beach handball tour.

Matija Šulc, the Organization commitee director, shortly commented this step: This is a good thing for all ebt participants, especially because of the fact that until now there were no early outdoor EBT tournaments in the schedule. With this tournament, official EBT season became longe which gives another chance to the teams to compete and try to do their best. Also, I think that this will be a great chance for the EBT Masters finals participants to prepare on time for the tournament which will be held in Budaors  at the end of May. I use the opportunity to invite all beach handball teams to participate and became a part of our summer story.

In the period from first to third of May in 2015, the famous and traditional beach handball tournament, Jarun cup, will be organized by Academic beach handball club Zagreb. The largest Croatian tournament will host the best beach handball players among Croatia and hopefully Europe and open the new official beach handball European outdoor season. Around 400 players participated in the last year edition of Jarun Cup and over fifty teams were registered in senior and youth categories. So, if you want to feel the magic of beach handball at the beginning of the May, visit us on the shores of the SRC Jarun Great Lake in Zagreb, Croatia. Three day program with a lot of attractions will guaranty a lot of fun and attractive games. It is worth noting that everyone can apply and participate regardless of their previous experience of playing. Also, between men and women final games, Trophy challenge (the most attractive players movement) will be held. The registration fee for the tournament is 60€ (early registration paid by 25.3.2015.) After given date, the participation fee will cost 100€ per team.
